Short biography |
Verena is an early career scholar who obtained her phd in the history of science at the Technical University of Berlin in 2016. In 2015/16 she worked as a research and teaching assistant at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Science and Technology Studies (IZWT) at Wuppertal University and in 2016/17 at the Institute of Philosophy, History of Literature, Science and Technology at TU Berlin. In 2015/16 she was the managing editor of NTM Zeitschrift für Geschichte der Naturwissenschaften, Technik und Medizin. Verena went on parental leave in 2017/18 and is currently working as a research fellow at the Research Centre in Gotha and at the Institute for the History of Science/Max Weber Centre for Advanced Cultural and Social Studies at Erfurt University. In her postdoctoral project she examines the relationships between social psychology, marxist-leninist ideology, and society in Central and Eastern Europe and particularly in the GDR. Verenas first book on German agricultural Enlightenment will be published in 2019. She lives in Weimar with her husband and 3 kids. |
