Peder Roberts

I am a historian with a particular interest in the science, politics, and the polar regions during the twentieth century. I am project leader of the European Research Council project “Greening the Poles: Science, the Environment, and the Creation of the Modern Arctic and Antarctic” and sit on the executive committee of the NordForsk Centre of Excellence in Resource Extraction and Sustainable Arctic Communities. My research interests cover the history of science, politics, industry, and environmental management in the polar regions with a particular focus on the years 1945-1991.
