Short biography | I am a PhD Candidate within the project Bicycle Challenges: Past, Present and Future of Sustainable Urban Mobility. The goal of my project is to contribute to our scarce knowledge about the development of the Dutch cycling system over the last century in order to fill a gap in the historiography as well as provide aspiring cycling cities clues about a pathway to a cycling system of their own. I concentrate on the elements of physical cycling infrastructure and their funding as well as traffic rules.
