Short biography | Historian of technology, maritime networks, and business-state relations. I defended my doctoral thesis in December 2018 on the role of shipbuilding in Finnish state technology and security politics, focusing on naval and civil maritime systems, the war reparations to USSR (1944–1952) and onset of consequent bilateral, politically entangled trade. I’m the current editor of Tekniikan Waiheita – the Finnish peer reviewed journal for history of technology, and a member of the Finnish national committee for the history of science and technology. |
